Presentation of the Big Top Label certificate
2nd October in the European Parliament, Brussels
For the second time, circuses were awarded with the Big Top Label certificate in the European Parliament in Brussels. The Big Top Label is conferred to circuses which comply with the strict quality requirements of the certificate. These are monitored on-site by a commission.
This year, Circus Finlandia from Finland, Circus Magyar Nemzeti from Hungary and Circus Knie from Switzerland were awarded with the Big Top Label. In honour of their achievements, ENTE congratulates the circuses.
Presenters of the certificate were István Ujhelyi, deputy of the European Parliament and initiator of the Big Top Label, Heidi Hautala, Vice-President of the European Parliament, Bernadett Petri, adviser to the Euro-Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, Tibor Navracsics, and Urs Pilz, President of the Fédération Mondiale du Cirque. The event took place in presence of Princess Stéphanie of Monaco.
For ENTE it was interesting and valuable to become acquainted with Bernadett Petri. She promised to establish contact to new Euro-Commissioner Mariya Gabriel (Innovation and Youth) for ENTE.
